Despite the client’s success, it saw an opportunity to improve its QA practice to drive omnichannel retail success with improved customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. It needed to ensure the final quality of new software projects, reduce defects in production processes, and increase the level of standardization. The client was also interested in training more personnel in its software QA area and developing internal trainers to support future automation initiatives related to QA.
Implement a proper QA methodology for omnichannel retail initiatives.
Reduce defects in production processes and ensure the final quality of products.
Build internal training capabilities to ensure personnel can keep pace with evolving QA automation initiatives.
Softtek was engaged to provide consulting, training, and develop best practices for the client’s QA area. This service, called QA Factory, is a powerful approach to improving the client’s QA testing and validation practices through the right mix of people, processes, and technology based on the client’s business needs.
Softtek divided the service into various stages, starting with a general evaluation to identify specific personnel needs as they relate to upcoming projects and upskilling. After that, a methodology was created that considered training programs, an automation framework, and adoption of best practices. Some of the key deliverables included:
QA methodology implementation.
Internal trainer development for QA automation initiatives.
Automation framework implementation.
Training of 335 test engineers.
Technologies utilized: Selenium, Winium, and Eclipse, to support test engineers and the new automation framework.
Softtek’s QA Factory service enabled the client to adopt the best QA testing and validation practices within its internal processes, reduce production defects, and align with industry standards. This four-year project aimed to develop the client’s capability to operate independently, with Softtek’s partnership and expertise serving as a foundation for long-term success.
