15 december, 2021. – Softtek, a company that provides next-generation digital transformation services and solutions at a global level, has signed an agreement with the La Rozas City Council that has among its main objectives the economic, business and social development of the municipality. All of this oriented towards the digital economy.
The collaboration agreement aims to promote entrepreneurship and innovation, support business initiatives and boost the labour market, which generates quality employment in line with sustainable development criteria, facilitating the integration of groups at risk of social exclusion into the labour market. With this action, the municipality seeks to promote the participation of citizens in the efficient and sustainable use of information and communication technologies.
The purpose of this agreement is the collaboration of both parties, to the extent of their resources and possibilities, in areas of common interest and for the general benefit of the municipality of Las Rozas, through activities and projects aimed at promoting local employment, fostering innovation, technological development and entrepreneurship, as well as the dissemination of knowledge -especially in the school and youth population- in STEAM areas (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
Both parties consider it convenient to establish a collaboration framework in which they take advantage of and strengthen their resources to collaborate in areas of interest such as new technologies; the connection of the company with the young talent of the municipality and the reduction of the digital divide, especially in disadvantaged groups and/or those at risk of social exclusion.
Softtek, based on its experience and knowledge of the sector in which it operates, and the City Council of Las Rozas through its delegated departments, in particular through the Department of Education, Innovation, Economy and Employment (Las Rozas Next programme) will maintain a permanent channel of communication and collaboration that will allow them to achieve these objectives, through actions in the following areas:
“We are very happy with the arrival of Softtek in our municipality to continue consolidating our ecosystem of companies related to innovation and new technologies. In addition, with this agreement we will go hand in hand in the promotion of innovative projects, entrepreneurship and technological development in our city,” says José De la Uz Pardos, Mayor-President of the City Council of Las Rozas de Madrid.
“Our mission is to promote strategic initiatives in Las Rozas and the Community of Madrid to boost the digital economy through entrepreneurship and innovation. That is why it is very important to promote technology careers (STEM), particularly among young people, in order to develop quality talent that is a reference for the ICT sector at a national level,” says Carlos Delgado, CEO of Softtek EMEA.
